ACIC MIET Meerut Foundation is a Section 8 company formed as a Special Purpose Vehicle(SPV) on 15/7/2020 as per the “Final Results ACIC 1.0” published on AIM website dated 30th March 2020 and subsequent letter issued by Director (Atal Innovation Mission) on 9th June 2020 for establishment of Atal Community Innovation Centers(ACIC).
The objective of ACIC is to build and strengthen the innovation ecosystem in India by empowering society to build a new India.
The purpose of ACIC is to foster the innovation cycle to convert creative ideas and innovative thoughts into proof of concepts, pre-prototype and prototype and then transforming them into Minimum Viable Product offering unique innovative solutions for the benefits of the society.
The vision of ACICs is to:
- Foster innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in the people of regions which are aspiring to make up their space in building innovation ecosystem
- Design innovative solutions for societal challenges
- Offer infrastructural facilities and capacity building opportunities to potential innovators helping them become change-agents in the society
- Help startups to achieve sustainable and scalable growth over varied geographies and sectors.
The objectives of the ACIC program is to offer unique and incentivized solutions, which will encourage students, researchers or any individual/group of individuals to ideate and design novel solutions. Following objectives are ensured to be delivered under this program:
- Nurture innovators to ideate in areas of societal importance.
- Design think process to spur activity.
- Opportunity for everyone to innovate, ideate and design solutions through advanced tinkering.
- Capacity building of emerging innovations in evolving technologies and designing their innovations from ideation to impactful solutions.
- Partnerships with local industries/institutions in problem solving through innovative offerings in terms of products, services and processes.
- Public Private Partnership (PPP) to enable support for financial sustainability and encourage participation of central agencies, PSUs, other legal entities, etc. to mobilize resources for running the program.
